Procedure Overview
How the Venex System Works

A streamlined endovascular procedure performed under ultrasound guidance — from single-entry access to walking discharge in under 30 minutes.

01
Ultrasound Access

VenexCath is advanced via the knee lid under ultrasound guidance to the groin, reaching the target vessel without anesthesia or narcosis.

02
Catheter Positioning

The self-echogenic braided micro catheter provides continuous real-time visibility. The kink-resistant design ensures precise positioning at the treatment site.

03
Embolization

Venex high-density bioabsorbable agent is administered intravenously over 5–10 minutes. Polymerisation achieves total vascular closure in a single application.

04
Immediate Discharge

No hospital stay required. No compression stockings. No pain management needed post-procedure. The patient leaves on foot within 30 minutes of intervention.

Clinical Advantages
Why Venex Over Thermal Methods

Laser ablation and radiofrequency treatments carry inherent thermal risk profiles that Venex eliminates by design.

🚫
No Tumulus Anesthesia

Thermal methods require cold liquid injection with local anesthetic around the vessel due to heat generation. Venex requires none — shorter procedure, less patient discomfort.

🛡️
Zero Thermal Injury Risk

Laser and RF treatments can cause thermal damage, nerve injury, numbness, and skin burns — especially near superficial saphenous veins. Venex uses no heat energy whatsoever.

Sural Nerve Safety

In small saphenous vein (Vena Saphena Parva) treatment, the N.Suralis proximity creates high nerve damage risk with thermal methods. Non-thermal peripheral embolization eliminates this entirely.

Single Application Closure

The vein closes in one application via polymerisation. No repeat treatments. No staged procedures. Vascular total closure with a single administration of embolization agent.

🏃
Immediate Mobilisation

Patients resume their lives immediately. No hospital admission, no compression stockings, no post-procedure pain management. Walk-in, walk-out treatment.

🧬
Bioabsorbable · No DMSO

The agent is fully bioabsorbable and does not contain DMSO, the toxic carrier solvent used in many competing embolization products. Clean chemistry, better patient tolerance.
